This was a very challenging project as the client had combined 2 2-bedroom flats into one and wanted a home which had grandeur and at the same time was cozy to live in.
The objective of the main door was to exhibit robustness and solidarity. An 8 and a half feet door was hence used with back lit laser cut design. A Jaisalmer sandstone cladding was then used to complement the main door design and complete the front end elevation.
The foyer seating was done up using old furniture upholstered in bright lively green to bring in life into the space as soon you entered the house. A wooden ceiling with a chandelier helped complete the ambience of the foyer. A large idol of Lord Ganesh helped add serenity to the entrance.
The foyer leads to the drawing room which had a custom made sofa set in black velvet fabric with bronze mirror leg detailing. Firm cushioning was provided on specific requests from the client.
A tailor made book shelf adorns one side of the wall of the drawing room. Back lit Onyx stone was used on the TV unit to enhance the overall ambience of the room. A Budha statue placed strategically complements the serenity in the drawing room and brings a sense of peace into the home.
Red, black and white was the colour theme selected for this room after discussions between the client and designer. Side table design was done to double up as a bay window seating area.
Custom made traditional handles used in the project in line with the overall theme of the house.
